just call me martha

i have been so bored lately. so finally, sometime last week, i decided enough with the whining! so i've been trying lots of new things (recipes, crafts, etc). last week i created a recipe for scallops (and tried it with shrimp too!), baked cupcakes that sucked (damn high altitude),then mastered baking at 6,500 ft. (add 1/4 cup flour and 1/3 cup water, beat an extra min) complete with chocolate frosting made from scratch and made a baked artichoke dip

today i started making valentines...and i must say, i've come a long way from my days of construction paper and safety scissors. they don't look quite as good as the ones in martha stewart living (sigh)

next up: working on a buttercream frosting for chocolate cupcakes. re.doing artichoke dip with crab and spinach?

i really want to make a ribbon board but am afraid of the tools it might require, and the embarassment caused by having to tell the paramedics 'well, i borrowed my neighbor's staple gun and.....'
