so i've been substitute teaching, trying to make some money and figure out if i really want to teach badly enough to go back to school and get my license. i've been subbing for five years. i used to be a cool sub (i.e. i let people skip if they would bring me back starbucks) but i fear i am turning into one of those subs. you know, the kind that actually make kids do the worksheets and hand them in. the kind that takes attendance, makes people tardy, etc. and today i was that dumb sub who had a kid sneak into her class, give her a fake name, and hang out with some cute girls in the back of the room. and then, to add insult to injury, i wrote the kid and the two girls up. gone are the days of me being young, hip, and cool. i did come home and laugh at the clearly fake name he gave, and at the wierd, nerdy couple who i caught laying on each other in the corner of the room, making out, with their eyes open, watching the movie.
